The co-headliner of the UFC Freedom 250 card on Sunday at the White House will be the UFC interim heavyweight title match between two-division UFC champion Alex Pereira and former UFC interim heavyweight titleholder Ciryl Gane.

Pereira, who was a former UFC middleweight and light heavyweight champion, will be the slight betting favorite with -115 UFC odds. Meanwhile, Gane, who’s the natural heavyweight fighter, is going to be the -105 betting underdog.

UFC Freedom 250: Alex Pereira vs. Ciryl Gane: Prediction

I predict a TKO/KO victory for Pereira over Gane, and the leg kicks of the former will be the key against the latter. Pereira’s patented sneaky leg kicks will give problems to Gane, who’s known to be an agile heavyweight.

Once these leg kicks accumulate, Gane’s movement will be severely compromised, and his ability to move in and out will be limited. Then, Pereira can proceed to move forward, put Gane against the fence, and throw his powerful punch combinations.

My only concern for Pereira in this match is how he’s going to handle the power of a natural heavyweight, since this is going to be his first fight in the division after becoming the UFC middleweight and light heavyweight champion.

Alex Pereira’s Recent Fight Results

Pereira was the former UFC middleweight and light heavyweight champion. Before he moves up to the heavyweight division, he racked up four wins in his last five bouts. His victories were against Jamahal Hill, Jiri Prochazka, Khalil Rountree Jr., and Magomed Ankalaev. His only defeat during this period was to Ankalaev in their first meeting.

Ciryl Gane’s Recent Fight Results

Gane was a former UFC interim heavyweight champion. In his last five fights, he had three wins (Tai Tuivasa, Serghei Spivac, and Alexander Volkov), one loss (Jon Jones), and one no-contest (Tom Aspinall).
