A monumental upset was a fitting ending to the historic UFC Freedom 250 card on Sunday at the White House, as Justin Gaethje dethroned Ilia Topuria to win the undisputed UFC lightweight title via fourth-round stoppage.
Gaethje defied the UFC odds as the heavy betting underdog heading into the match. This performance earned him a double bonus for the Performance of the Night and Fight of the Night honors.
Ciryl Gane was the other recipient of the Performance of the Night bonus after his second-round stoppage win over Alex Pereira in their UFC interim heavyweight title match. But despite the setback, Pereira still has the largest estimated payout on the entire card at $10 million.
