Undefeated young prospect Iwo Baraniewski will welcome Austen Lane in the light heavyweight division this Saturday at the UFC London card, which takes place inside the O2 Arena in London.

With his immaculate pro MMA record, Baraniewski heads into the match as the heavy betting favorite with -650 UFC odds. Lane, on the other hand, who’s on a two-fight losing streak, is going to be the overwhelming betting underdog with +475 odds.

UFC London: Iwo Baraniewski vs. Austen Lane: Prediction

My prediction is a unanimous decision victory for Baraniewski over Lane. Baraniewski is slightly quicker than Lane, and he can win the majority of the striking exchanges of the feet, even if Lane has the height, reach, and leg reach advantages.

Baraniewski won’t have a problem closing in distance with Lane, as he doesn’t utilize his physical attributes against shorter opponents. Instead, he likes to lunge forward and overextend his punches.

If Lane won’t use this edge, Baraniewski can be the counterpuncher and catch him with solid punches at the end of every combination. The American often leaves himself open by not putting up his hands quickly enough.

Iwo Baraniewski’s Recent Fight Results

Baraniewski was a former Babilon MMA star before he joined Dana White’s Contender Series in September. He only needed 20 seconds to beat Mahamed Aly in the opening round and secure a UFC contract. In his octagon debut at UFC 323 in December, he scored another first-round stoppage against Ibo Aslan.

Austen Lane’s Recent Fight Results

Lane was a former MMA champion outside the UFC when he joined Dana White’s Contender Series in 2022. He defeated Richard Jacobi via first-round finish to earn a roster spot in the UFC. Since then, he has recorded only one win (Robelis Despaigne) in the UFC and has dropped the other four to Justin Tafa, Jhonata Diniz, Mario Pinto, and Vitor Petrino. He now aims to start a new journey in the 205-pound weight class.
