The featherweight battle of Luke Riley and Michael Aswell Jr. will serve as the co-main event of UFC London this Saturday at the O2 Arena in London.

Due to his undefeated pro record, Riley will be the considerable betting favorite with -275 UFC odds. Aswell Jr., on the other hand, is going to be the +225 betting underdog despite winning his previous fight.

UFC London: Luke Riley vs. Michael Aswell Jr.: Prediction

My prediction is a TKO/KO win for Riley over Aswell Jr., mainly because of the speed difference and the former’s greater accuracy. Undoubtedly, both have incredible power in their punches, but Riley is a little more technical in his approach and doesn’t just swing for the fences.

What Aswell Jr. can do to slow down Riley’s striking onslaught is to mix in some grappling, as he had trouble defending against it. A great example was his previous fight with Bogdan Grad. But one way or another, Riley will find his way back on his feet and make it a striking battle.

Luke Riley’s Recent Fight Results

Riley was a Cage Warriors standout before the UFC signed him last year. In his inaugural match under the Las Vegas-based promotion in November, he scored a second-round finish against Grad at UFC Qatar.

Michael Aswell Jr.’s Recent Fight Results

Aswell Jr. was a former Fury Fighting Championship champion before he joined Dana White’s Contender Series in August 2024, but he lost to Grad, which is why the UFC didn’t sign him. He needed another win outside the UFC before he finally made his octagon debut in June. Aswell Jr. has split his first two outings with a loss to Bolaji Oki and a win over Lucas Almeida.
