Bantamweight contenders Cristian Quinonez and Kris Moutinho are looking to return to the win column, as they are scheduled to face each other in the preliminary card of UFC Mexico on Saturday inside Arena CDMX.

Although he’s on a two-fight losing streak, Quinonez heads into the match as the considerable betting favorite with -700 UFC odds. Moutinho, on the other hand, will be the heavy betting underdog with +500 after a knockout loss in his octagon return.

UFC Mexico: Cristian Quinonez vs. Kris Moutinho: Prediction

My prediction is a TKO/KO win for Quinonez over Moutinho because even though the latter likes to press forward and pressure his opponents, he’s a very hittable target in both the body and head, as seen during his previous fight against Malcolm Wellmaker.

With Quinonez having a 2-inch of reach and leg reach advantages over Moutinho, he’ll be able to land significant strikes more easily. He won’t need to cover a lot of space between them and will gladly invite Moutinho to be the aggressor.

Cristian Quinonez’s Recent Fight Results

Quinonez was the former UWC Mexico champion before he joined Dana White’s Contender Series in October 2021. He scored a masterful decision win over Xiao Long to earn a roster spot in the UFC. Since then, he won against Khalid Taha but lost to Kyung Ho Kang and Raoni Barcelos.

Kris Moutinho’s Recent Fight Results

Moutinho had a rude return to the UFC after Wellmaker finished him in the first round of their match in June. Before that loss, he already had two bouts in the UFC, but also dropped those fights to Sean O’Malley in July 2021 and Guido Cannetti in March 2022.
