An exciting women’s flyweight match will open the Noche UFC card on Saturday, as the No. 15-ranked contender JJ Aldrich takes on the undefeated Regina Tarin inside Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.

Because of her immaculate MMA record, Tarin is going to be the betting favorite with -300 UFC odds. Meanwhile, Aldrich, who’s currently on a two-fight win streak, will be the betting underdog with +240 odds.

Noche UFC: JJ Aldrich vs. Regina Tarin: Prediction

With Tarin’s forward pressure and aggressive style, I predict a decision win for her over Aldrich. Tarin’s striking volume paired with a chaotic and disruptive approach, I think she’ll break the rhythm and flow of Aldrich.

Aldrich is a very measured, technical, and patient fighter, but she tends to wait for the right moment to counter and is often gun-shy when she faces aggressive fighters like Tarin. She covers up too much because she’s too worried about defending strikes going her way.

Furthermore, Aldrich is a slow starter, which will be a problem against Tarin, who overwhelms opponents from start to finish. If Aldrich won’t find her groove early on, it’ll be a striking masterclass for Tarin.

JJ Aldrich’s Recent Fight Results

Aldrich is a UFC veteran who has competed since 2016. In her last five fights inside the octagon, she recorded four wins against Liang Na, Montana De La Rosa, Andrea Lee, and Jamey-Lyn Horth. Aldrich’s lone loss during this stretch was to Veronica Hardy.

Regina Tarin’s Recent Fight Results

Tarin is the former Budo Sento Championship titleholder and signed with the UFC earlier this year. She had a dream debut under the Las Vegas-based promotion after she defeated Ernesta Kareckaite via unanimous decision at UFC Mexico last March.
