Veteran flyweight contender Tim Elliott looks to maintain his place in the 125-pound rankings, as he’s set to collide with Edgar Chairez at the Noche UFC card on Saturday inside Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
Due to his three-fight win streak, Chairez enters the match as the betting favorite with -220 UFC odds, while Elliott is going to be the +180 betting underdog because he’s fresh off a defeat in his previous fight.

Noche UFC: Tim Elliott vs. Edgar Chairez: Prediction
My prediction is a TKO/KO victory for Chairez over Elliott because he’s the better overall striker and has one-strike knockout power. Both are elite grapplers and submission artists, which is why I think they’ll nullify each other in this category.
With both of them canceling each other out in grappling and submissions, I think they will resort to a striking match. This is where I believe Chairez will have the advantage over Elliott with his Mexican-style boxing.
Elliott prefers to have his fights in a chaotic exchange, but Chairez could catch him with a powerful combination that can potentially end the match. Even though he’s awkward and unorthodox with his striking, Elliott isn’t the most technical fighter on the feet.
