Women’s strawweight debutants will open the show at UFC Paris on Saturday, as Delphine Benouaich and Sofia Montenegro slug it out at the Accor Arena in France.

As the fighter who’s coming off a win in her previous match, Benouaich heads into the fight as the betting favorite with -150 UFC odds, while Montenegro, who was defeated in her last outing, is going to be the +125 betting underdog.

UFC Paris: Delphine Benouaich vs. Sofia Montenegro: Prediction

With the slight edge of Montenegro in height and reach, I predict a decision win for her over Benouaich. I expect Montenegro to maximize this advantage in length to keep Benouaich at bay, while landing her punches and kicks at a comfortable range.

It’s going to be a stand-up affair for most of the match, but I wouldn’t be surprised if one of them initiates a clinch or grappling battle. The first fighter to get gassed out will likely be the first to shoot for a takedown.

Delphine Benouaich’s Recent Fight Results

Benouaich is an MMA standout from France and has fought in the European MMA circuit. She won three of her last five bouts, with victories against Anita Bekus, Mileide Simplicio, and Lindsey Payne. Meanwhile, her losses were courtesy of Naizi Cantanhede and Ingrid Silva.

Sofia Montenegro’s Recent Fight Results

Montenegro is a contender from Argentina who made her pro MMA debut in 2021. She was on a three-fight win streak before joining Dana White’s Contender Series in September, where she fought Jeisla Chaves and lost by split decision. Despite the defeat, she still earned a UFC contract.
