UFC Paris: Morgan Charriere vs. Felipe Lima: Prediction
With Charriere as the more powerful and better overall striker, I predict a decision win for him over Lima. Even though Lima has better grappling, I think Charriere’s takedown defense and explosiveness will allow him to pop back to his feet.
Charriere’s kickboxing background will be the key difference in the stand-up exchanges because he can attack Lima’s lead leg. This will not only allow Charriere to inflict damage on Lima’s leg, but also slow his movement and possibly discourage him from shooting for takedowns, as the threat of a kick or knee strike is constantly there.
Even if Lima forces a clinch battle or a grappling-heavy approach, Charriere will still be able to defend takedowns. Even if he’s from a striking background, he’s still a well-rounded fighter. Additionally, he can use his athleticism to scramble his way out of grappling battles.
Morgan Charriere’s Recent Fight Results
Charriere was a former Cage Warriors champion before he made his UFC debut in 2023. He has split his six UFC fights, with wins over Manolo Zecchini, Gabriel Miranda, and Nate Landwehr and losses to Chepe Mariscal, Nathaniel Wood, and Melquizael Costa.
Felipe Lima’s Recent Fight Results
Lima was the former OKTAGON titleholder before the UFC signed him in 2024. In three bouts under the Las Vegas-based promotion, he defeated Muhammad Naimov and Miles Johns, but dropped his fight to Payton Talbott.
