A decision victory for Mar Fan over Steele is my prediction, as he has the better striking combinations and has more power in his strikes. Steele, on the other hand, will have the advantage in grappling due to his Brazilian jiu-jitsu background.
Mar Fan has a solid takedown defense and does a great job of sprawling out of the way in grappling battles. He uses his full length to fend off takedowns and submission attempts. I think he’ll be able to stop the majority of Steele’s takedown attempts.
With the takedowns neutralized, Mar Fan will operate on the feet with his incredible combinations of punches and kicks. I think he’ll attack the legs and calves of Steele to compromise his movement and inflict significant damage.

Mar Fan’s route to the UFC was via the Road to UFC competition, where he defeated Yuji Yannick Ephoeviga and Jae Hyun Park to earn a UFC contract. He had a successful debut inside the octagon in February at UFC 325, where he unanimously beat Sangwook Kim.

Steele was an undefeated prospect when he joined Dana White’s Contender Series in October 2024, where he scored a second-round finish of Chasen Blair to earn a roster spot in the UFC. However, he was defeated by Rongzhu in his promotional debut in February 2025 at UFC 312.
