UFC Perth: Tai Tuivasa vs. Louie Sutherland: Prediction
I predict a TKO/KO victory for Tuivasa, as he’s a fast starter and he can catch Sutherland off guard in the early stages of the fight. Both possess incredible power in their hands, but I think Tuivasa can beat Sutherland in one of the striking exchanges.
With how Tuivasa struggled in his last fight defending takedowns, I expect Sutherland to employ a grappling-heavy fight plan. But Sutherland doesn’t have the wrestling or grappling credentials to hold Tuivasa down on the mat, and he’ll just shoot for it to neutralize the threat of the Aussie MMA star.

Tuivasa is a UFC veteran who has been with the promotion since 2017. But he hasn’t won a fight since 2022 and is currently in a six-fight losing skid. His losses were courtesy of Ciryl Gane, Sergei Pavlovich, Alexander Volkov, Marcin Tybura, Jairzinho Rozenstruik, and Tallison Teixeira.
