UFC Sacramento: Shanelle Dyer vs. Elise Reed: Prediction
I predict a TKO/KO finish for Dyer over Reed because she’s the faster and more powerful striker. Reed has been problematic against quicker opponents due to her low, wide striking defence that makes her susceptible to jabs and straight punches.
The Muay Thai background of Dyer is going to be on full display since she’ll move around and kick Reed’s lead leg. Once the damage accumulates on Reed’s lead leg, she’s expected to defend them heavily.
Once she worries too much about it, Reed will throw head kicks and drop her boxing combinations to mix up her attack. I think Dyer will catch Reed with one clean punch that will severely compromise her and end the fight via stoppage.
Shanelle Dyer’s Recent Fight Results
Dyer was a former PFL contender before he joined Dana White’s Contender Series in September. Despite a decision defeat to Carol Foro in the competition, she still managed to earn a UFC contract. She made the most of the opportunity and finished Ravena Oliveira in her promotional debut in March.
Elise Reed’s Recent Fight Results
Reed was the former Cage Fury Fighting Championship champion before the UFC signed her in 2021. However, she has recorded two wins (Jinh Yu Frey and Jessica Penne) and three losses (Loma Lookboonmee, Loopy Godinez, and Denise Gomes) in her last five bouts.
