UFC Seattle: Alexia Thainara vs. Bruna Brasil 2: Prediction
A unanimous decision win for Thainara over Brasil is my prediction, as the former’s grappling and takedowns will effectively neutralize the latter’s striking. Brasil also doesn’t press forward whenever, which allows her opponents to take the center and force her to fight on the back foot.
This was the same problem Brasil has when she fought Ketlen Souza, she was waiting on the pocket to counter instead of going first in exchanges. If this is the same fight plan against Thainara, I think she’ll be ragdolled in grappling exchanges.
Once on the clinch, Thainara can overpower her opponents by using the fence to her advantage and eventually secure a takedown. On the ground, Thainara has the option to throw nasty ground-and-pound strikes or attempt submissions, but I think Brasil can survive through all three rounds until the final bell.

Thainara was the former Arena Global and XForce MMA champion before she joined Dana White’s Contender Series in 2024. She defeated Rose Conceição to earn a UFC contract. She then swept her first two wins in the promotion with wins over Molly McCann and Loma Lookboonmee.
Bruna Brasil’s Recent Fight Results
Brasil was also a product of Dana White’s Contender Series in 2022. However, she has only recorded two victories in her last five fights. She won against McCann and Shi Ming but lost to Lookboonmee, Wang Cong, and Souza.
