The crisp boxing combinations of Jingnan are the main reason why I pick her to win by decision over Polastri. Even at 38 and a decade older than Polastri, Jingnan still has quick hands and power that date back to her boxing background.
Jingnan didn’t have the best look in her octagon debut, but I think it was more of the jitters of her maiden bout under the biggest MMA promotion in the world. Maybe the lights were too bright for her, but I believe she’ll finally settle this fight.
Polastri is also very hittable in striking exchanges, which can open up opportunities for Jingnan. Another big factor that didn’t help in Jingnan’s UFC debut was the long layoff before her return to competition. But now that she’s more active, Jingnan should shake off the rust.
