Carlos Ulberg pulled off an incredible performance against Jiri Prochazka in the main event of UFC 327 to become the newest UFC light heavyweight champion this past weekend at Kaseya Center in Miami.
The Kiwi MMA superstar defied the UFC odds with a first-round knockout despite blowing up his knee with an injury early into the championship showdown. This allowed him to secure the Performance of the Night award along with Josh Hokit.Â
Hokit also bagged the Fight of the Night honor with Curtis Blaydes after a fantastic back-and-forth battle in their heavyweight bout.Â
Meanwhile, Prochazka earned the highest payout from the card with $1.8 million.Â
