UFC Vegas 113: Jean Matsumoto vs. Farid Basharat: Prediction
My prediction is a unanimous decision win for Basharat over Matsumoto due to a more complete martial arts skill set, with a great combination of striking and grappling. Matsumoto has a solid Muay Thai background but still lacks in his grappling and takedown defence.
Matsumoto came away with a close split decision win over Miles Johns in his previous fight, but was taken down several times. I think Basharat can set up his takedowns better against Matsumoto, as he can lure him into a striking exchange before changing levels to go for a takedown.

Matsumoto was a former Fight Pro Championship champion before he joined Dana White’s Contender Series in September 2023, where he secured a UFC contract with a win over Kasey Tanner.
