With his wide range of striking weapons, particularly the variety in kicks, I predict that Nurmagomedov will beat Basharat via unanimous decision. Both are well-rounded fighters, but I expect this to be a stand-up fight.
Their physical attributes are quite identical, but Nurmagomedov’s kicking game is on another level because opponents can’t telegraph when it’s coming. His speed and explosiveness were the main reasons for his success in throwing and landing those atomic kicks.

Nurmagomedov was a former WFCA champion before signing with the UFC in 2018. In 11 bouts under the promotion, he recorded seven wins and four losses. But the Russian has only two wins in his last five bouts and has absorbed back-to-back losses.
Javid Basharat’s Recent Fight Results
Basharat was also a champion in another fight organization before he joined Dana White’s Contender Series in October 2021, where he submitted Oron Kahlon to crack a roster spot in the UFC. Since then, he had three wins (over Trevin Jones, Tony Gravely, and Mateus Mendonca), one no-contest (with Victor Henry), and two losses (to Aiemann Zahabi and Ricky Simon).
