Undefeated light heavyweight prospect Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev looks to keep his pro record unscathed as he takes on Brendon Ribeiro in the main card of UFC Vegas 115 on Saturday at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.

Because of his impressive octagon debut in November, Yakhyaev heads into the match as the heavy betting favorite with -1400 UFC odds, while Ribeiro, who lost back-to-back fights, is going to be the overwhelming underdog with +800 odds.

UFC Vegas 115: Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev vs. Brendson Ribeiro: Prediction

A TKO/KO victory for Yakhyaev over Ribeiro is my prediction because he’s the more aggressive, powerful, and accurate striker. Yakhyaev immediately takes the center of the octagon and pressures his opponents, which catches them off guard.

Once his opponents yield to his forward pressure, Yakhyaev instantly fires off several kicks and punches until one lands clean. Then, once he gets them hurt, Yakhyaev will double down on his offense until he gets the finish, either by TKO/KO or submission. This is exactly what I think he’ll do against Ribeiro.

Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev’s Recent Fight Results

Yakhyaev was a former Khan Fight and Ares FC titleholder before joining Dana White’s Contender Series in August. He made quick work of Alik Lorenz in the competition to earn a UFC contract. He continued to impress in his promotional debut with a 33-second submission win over Rafael Cerqueira.

Brendson Ribeiro’s Recent Fight Results

Ribeiro was the former Shotoo Brazil champion before joining Dana White’s Contender Series in 2023. He scored a first-round stoppage win over Bruno Lopes to secure a roster spot in the UFC. However, in his six fights inside the octagon, he only recorded two wins (Caio Machado and Diyar Nurgozhay) and dropped the other four (Zhang Mingyang, Magomed Gadzhiyasulov, Azamat Murzakanov, and Oumar Sy).
