Costa’s speed and explosiveness are why I predict a unanimous decision win for him. Costa’s athleticism and footwork will allow him to land the more damaging strikes in most of the exchanges on the feet.
Costa also has an aggressive style that puts his opponents on the back foot. But the Brazilian doesn’t need to worry about pressuring Nicoll because he prefers fighting on the back foot, because he wants to be the counterpuncher.
But Nicoll’s fighting style would only allow Costa to double down on his offence and throw more combinations, as he’s very comfortable initiating the action. Nicoll’s durability and toughness will help him make it to the final bell.

Costa was the former Lux Fight League champion before he defeated Juan Andres Luna in Dana White’s Contender Series to secure a UFC contract.
