UFC women’s bantamweight prospect Alice Pereira is back in action Saturday, as she takes on Hailey Cowan in the UFC Vegas 115 card inside the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.

With a better pro record, Pereira is going to be the betting favorite with -135 UFC odds. Meanwhile, Cowan, who’s on a two-fight losing skid, will be the +110 betting underdog.

UFC Vegas 115: Alice Pereira vs. Hailey Cowan: Prediction

My prediction is a unanimous decision victory for Pereira, since she has the longer reach and leg reach. These advantages will be important in striking exchanges because Pereira doesn’t need to cover a lot of distance to land a punch or kick.

Additionally, Pereira’s kickboxing background will be fully utilized when going in and out of striking exchanges, as Cowan also has power and decent striking skills of her own. However, the young prospect’s main weakness is her grappling.

Cowan’s best route to victory is to take Pereira down to nullify her striking. However, I think Pereira has learned from her octagon debut and will be ready for this fight plan from the American veteran contender.

Alice Pereira’s Recent Fight Results

Pereira was the former Cage Masters FC titleholder and an undefeated prospect before the UFC signed her last year. She fought Montse Rendon in September at UFC Noche, but lost a close split decision.

Hailey Cowan’s Recent Fight Results

Cowan was a longtime LFA contender before she joined Dana White’s Contender Series in 2022. She eked out a split decision win over Claudia Leite to earn a roster spot in the UFC. But in her first two matches inside the octagon, she received losses to Jamey-Lyn Horth and Nora Cornolle.
