UFC Vegas 115: Dione Barbosa vs. Melissa Gatto: Prediction
I predict a unanimous decision for Gatto over Barbosa because of her superb control when she’s on the mount. Although both fighters have incredible grappling backgrounds, Gatto’s strength overpowers her opponents when she gets a hold of them.
When it comes to striking, I’ll give the slight advantage to Barbosa, but I think Gatto will neutralize it by forcing a battle on the clinch and eventually taking the fight down to the mat. Gatto also has a sharp ground-and-pound game, which could inflict significant damage on Barbosa once she mounts her.

Barbosa joined Dana White’s Contender Series in 2023 and submitted Rainn Guerrero to secure a UFC contract. But she has split her first four matches inside the octagon, defeating Ernesta Kareckaite and Diana Belbita, while losing to Miranda Maverick and Karine Silva.
Melissa Gatto’s Recent Fight Results
Gatto was an undefeated prospect when the UFC signed her in 2021. She has since racked up three wins in five bouts under the Las Vegas-based promotion. Gatto’s victories have come against Victoria Leonardo, Sijara Eubanks, and Tamires Vidal, while her losses have been courtesy of Tracy Cortez and Ariane Lipski da Silva.
