Middleweight contenders Cody Brundage and Andre Petroski are looking to break their respective losing streaks, as they are scheduled to meet on Saturday at UFC Vegas 117, which goes down inside the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.

Due to his three-fight losing streak, Brundage will be the betting underdog with +180 UFC odds, while Petroski, who’s also on a two-fight losing skid, is going to be the -220 betting favorite.

UFC Vegas 117: Cody Brundage vs. Andre Petroski: Prediction

I predict a TKO/KO finish for Petroski over Brundage, as he’s the more powerful and better striker. Both are fantastic grapplers, and I think they cancel each other out in this category, which is why this match should be on the feet.

Brundage is expected to go for a takedown early in the match due to Petroski’s incredible punching power, which can put any contender to sleep. With the lack of head movement from Brundage, Petroski will be able to find his chin.

Even if Brundage secures a takedown against Petroski, he won’t be able to threaten with a submission because Petroski is also a skilled grappler and is very explosive when he decides to get back on his feet.

Cody Brundage’s Recent Fight Results

Brundage was a former Lights Out Championship titleholder and was signed by the UFC in 2021. He has only won one fight in his last five, defeating Julian Marquez and losing to Eric McConico, Cam Rowston, and Donte Johnson. His bout with Mansur Abdul-Malik ended in a draw.

Andre Petroski’s Recent Fight Results

Petroski has been with the UFC since 2021. In his last five appearances inside the octagon, he racked up three wins (Josh Fremd, Dylan Budka, and Rodolfo Vieira) and two losses (Edmen Shahbazyan and Rowston).
