The exciting clash between lightweight contenders Josiah Harrell and Elves Brener will be part of UFC Vegas 121 on Saturday inside the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
Both fighters are fresh off defeats in their previous bouts, but Harrell enters the match as the slight betting favorite with -125 UFC odds, while Brener, who’s on three-fight losing skid, is going to be the slight betting underdog with +105 odds.

UFC Vegas 121: Josiah Harrell vs. Elves Brener: Prediction
My prediction is a TKO/KO win for Harrell over Brener because he’s the more powerful puncher. Even though he’s going down a weight class and could affect his cardio and conditioning, Harrell will still carry the power he has during his tenure in the 170-pound weight class.
Although he’s the natural lightweight among the two, Brener won’t have the speed advantage against Harrell and I think they both have the same quickness. But Brener leaves himself susceptible to punches, because he leaves his chin up in the air in every exchange.
This could be a big opportunity for Harrell to land a power punch that could potentially end the fight. Both have solid grappling backgrounds, which is why I believe that Brener won’t be able to impose his grappling-heavy style against Harrell because he can effectively defend them.
Josiah Harrell’s Recent Fight Results
Harrell was an undefeated prospect when the UFC signed him earlier this year. He faced Jacobe Smith in his promotional debut at UFC Houston but suffered a first-round stoppage loss, his first setback in his pro career.
Elves Brener’s Recent Fight Results
Brener made his octagon debut in February 2022 and has since competed in six UFC fights. He has split these bouts with three wins (Zubaira Tukhugov, Guram Kutateladze, and Kaynan Kruschewsky) and three losses (Myktybek Orolbai, Joel Alvarez, and Esteban Ribovics).
