UFC Vegas 121: Montel Jackson vs. Ricky Simon: Prediction
The power and explosiveness of Jackson are the reasons why I predict a TKO/KO victory for him over Simon. Simon may have the advantage in grappling thanks to his wrestling background, but Jackson has proved that he can pop back up when he gets taken down.
Another major factor in this matchup is the massive height and reach edge for Jackson, who will enjoy 4-inch height and 6.5-inch reach advantages over Simon. This is also going to benefit Jackson who can telegraph the takedown attempts from Simon.
Simon has a high guard when he defends his opponent’s strikes, and Jackson could catch him with a vicious uppercut if he does. It’s one of Jackson’s best punches and I’m sure it will stun Simon of it lands perfectly on his chin.
