Unrivaled Championship Predictions 2026

Based on updated basketball odds, the Laces are back on top as the championship favorites. They are +350 to win it all, giving them an implied probability of 22.22%.

The Laces, who were preseason favorites at +350, were passed by Mist after one game. The Laces have returned to the lead in the market, with the best record in the league at 4-1. Their lone loss came at the hands of Mist, who have the second-best championship odds at this moment.

With that in mind, let’s talk about the top contenders.

Since the preseason, I’ve been high on the Laces. I’ve viewed them as the best team in the league, especially since they have the best one-two punch between Jackie Young and Alyssa Thomas. They’ve looked the part thus far, posting the best record against the spread (5-0) this season.

I’m also interested in the defensive potential of the Mist roster. Alanna Smith was a co-Defensive Player of the Year in the 2025 WNBA season. Breanna Stewart and Veronica Burton both made the All-Defensive second team, while Allisha Gray has incredible two-way potential.

Rose, meanwhile, has been impressive in its encore campaign after winning the championship last year. Chelsea Gray leads the league with an average of 30.6 points per game. She also ranks fourth with an average of 5.6 assists per contest.

Gray would be the MVP if the season ended today. But will the 33-year-old guard maintain this level of play all year?

Speaking of age, Breeze have one of the youngest rosters in the league led by Paige Bueckers. They have been better expected out of the gates, racing out to a 3-2 start.

Still, the Laces are the rightful favorites at this point in the season.

Prediction: Laces
