Week 12 of the NFL features a Browns at Ravens game that could go a long way in determining this year’s AFC North champion. The Ravens currently sit atop the division while the Browns occupy the bottom spot; however, only one win separates the two teams.

The Browns are coming off somewhat of an ugly win against the Lions. The offense looked so bad that quarterback Baker Mayfield heard the boo-birds from his own crowd. Meanwhile, the Ravens were able to win last week without Lamar Jackson (illness) with a 16-13 win over the Chicago Bears. Let’s take a look at some of the online football betting lines for this divisional matchup.

Browns Keys to Victory

The Browns are a team that largely relies on a tremendous offensive line and potent rushing attack as its formula for success. Cleveland has piled up the yards on the ground this season and leads the league with 156.8 per game.

After being derailed by an injury for a few weeks, Nick Chubb is back in the mix and is coming off a strong performance against the Lions, where he rushed for 130 yards, averaging 5.9 yards per rush. However, this week, it will be tough sledding against the Ravens, who are second in the league against the run, surrendering just 88.6 yards per game.

In a game where ground yards might be challenging, quarterback Baker Mayfield will have to step up and play better than he has been of late.

Ravens Keys to Victory

Lamar Jackson is expecting to return this week after being sidelined with an illness (non-COVID related) last Sunday. Jackson has been superb this season, leading the Ravens to a 7-3 record and throwing for 2,447 yards while rushing for 639.

Much like the Browns, the Ravens are first and foremost a running team. They’re putting up 151 on the ground so far this year, good for third-best in the league. Jackson has accounted for almost half of those, as the elusive QB has run for 71 yards per game.

The Browns will look to keep Jackson and the Ravens’ rushing attack in check, as they have allowed just 101.4 yards per game on the ground this year. However, if the Browns can somehow stymie the run, they’ll be faced with a potent passing attack that has racked up over 250 yards per game.

Best Bets: Point Spread and Over-Under

The Ravens are currently a -3.5 favorite at home against the Browns, and that number is likely as low as it is because of the uncertainty surrounding Lamar Jackson’s playing status.

Backup Tyler Huntley did an admirable job filling in at QB last week, going 26-36 for 219 yards on the way to a clutch road victory. He also added 40 rushing yards on seven attempts. Baltimore has owned the overall series 33-11, including three straight wins and nine out of the last 11. However, neither team has fared well against the spread this year, with Cleveland 5-6 and Baltimore 4-6.

The Browns have put up two duds after scoring 41 points in a win against the Bengals, scoring 20 points combined against the Detroit Lions and the New England Patriots. The over/under currently sits at 45.5, with all signs pointing to the under, especially if Jackson doesn’t play. However, if Jackson does play, I’m still not confident in either team’s ability to move the football against each other.

I think the Browns will leave it all on the table this week as they look to bounce back and save their season. It should be a tough divisional tilt that will be won in the trenches. I like the Browns at +3.5.

Browns at Ravens: Who Are You Taking?

The Browns at Ravens game features two teams that have been hard to figure out as of late. The Browns have struggled at quarterback, and the Ravens have lost two of four, including a shocking primetime loss to the Dolphins two weeks ago.

Both teams will look to get back on track this week as the season enters the home stretch. So be sure to keep up to date on BetMGM’s football lines and check back daily for all of your online betting action. Sign up for an account today and place your bets on this season’s NFL action.
