Where will Lee Corso and company be this week for College GameDay?

It was announced on Saturday night that ESPN’s feature college football show would travel to Columbus, Ohio, to cover one of the most exciting matchups in Week 12. College GameDay headlines this week of college football with the Michigan State Spartans visiting the Ohio State Buckeyes. The current college football odds show Ohio State as an 18.5 point favorite, but don’t make the mistake of thinking this game is already decided.

Ohio State Looks Unstoppable

Sitting at the top of the Big Ten, Ohio State looks unstoppable right now.

This season, the Buckeyes have been dominant, boasting a 9-1 record after beating Purdue last week.

The high-powered offense is what makes OSU so deadly. They currently lead the country in yards per game (550.3) and post 46.3 points on average.

Their explosiveness is fueled by Big Ten Freshman of the Week, QB C.J. Stroud, who ranks first in the Big Ten in yards per game with 337.3.

One thing that makes Stroud so efficient is his decision-making. He only has five INTs on the year, and the entire OSU program has only committed eight turnovers this season, averaging less than one a game.

The passing game isn’t the only thing that makes the Buckeyes lethal; their ground game is also a problem.

OSU running back TreVeyon Henderson is a monster on the turf, averaging a whopping 7.34 yards a carry. He is also 18th in the nation in rushing yards per game at 102.8.

The only cause for concern for this team is their defense.

The Buckeyes are allowing 367.4 total yards per game, including 261.5 passing yards, placing them at the 108th ranking in pass defense.

This team is solid on all fronts, but if they have an Achilles heel, it’s their secondary. So I expect MSU to try and expose that.

Michigan State Poses Challenges for Buckeyes

Despite being 18.5 point underdogs, don’t expect the 9-1 Spartans to roll over.

MSU has a legit Heisman candidate in running back, Kenneth Walker III, and he’ll be the focal point of the offense on College GameDay.

In his most recent outing, he ran for 143 yards and two touchdowns against Maryland.

The Spartans will hope to slow down the efficient C.J. Stroud with pressure from their defensive line.

The MSU D-line is second in the conference, with 31 sacks on the season. So it’s safe to say the Ohio State offensive line that’s struggled at times this season will have their hands full on Saturday.
