In professional tennis, a swing is a section of the tour schedule that encompasses multiple tennis tournaments, all of which are located in one geographic region.
Some examples of swings include:
- The Golden Swing – Clay-court tournaments in South America, played in February and March
- The Grass Swing – Located in Europe (mainly England and Germany) and played in June
- The Asian Swing – Primarily played in China and Japan in the fall after the U.S. Open
