WNBA Picks Today: Predictions & Best Bets for May 12

Welcome BonusBetting Promos

It’s a new era in the WNBA. Not only are players making more money than ever before, but scoring is up significantly following the opening weekend of the 2026 season.

The over is 9-2 through 11 games, finishing above the closing total by an average of 11.4 points per game. That has caused an adjustment in the WNBA odds market, with totals trading between 170.5 and 181.5 for all three games of Tuesday’s tripleheader.

WNBA Predictions & Best Bets for May 12

  • Angel Reese over 2.5 assists
  • Lynx +4.5

Dream vs. Wings Prediction for Tuesday

For my Dream vs. Wings prediction, I like the over on Angel Reese’s assist prop of 2.5. I’d also be willing to back Reese over 3.5 assists in the alternate market.

This is the best offensive system that Reese has been in during her young career. When she grabs a rebound, she can kick the ball out to several capable shooters. Reese only finished with two assists in her Dream debut, but the seven potential dimes (per Props Madness) suggest she was a bit unlucky.

With the game total trading at 181.5, there should be more opportunities for Reese to record an extra assist. Reese cleared this line in 16 of her 21 games last year, averaging 4.1 assists per contest.

Lynx vs. Mercury Prediction for Tonight

I’ll take the points with Minnesota (+4.5) for my Lynx vs. Mercury prediction ahead of their battle in the Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix.

This is a rematch from last year’s Round 2 matchup, in which Napheesa Collier suffered a brutal injury after a collision with Alyssa Thomas. That will certainly be on the Lynx’s mind as they begin the 2026 season without their best player.

Even without Collier, Minnesota put up a valiant effort against Atlanta in its 91-90 loss. Cheryl Reeve remains the best coach in the league, and someone worth trusting as an underdog in these spots.

At the same time, the Mercury are playing a third game in four nights after splitting two road contests over the weekend. This is not the ideal matchup for a team with tired legs, so I like the points at +3.5 or better.
