A’ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart share the WNBA record for most 40-point performances, each having reached that mark five times in their careers.

Wilson hit that milestone most recently on May 15 of this season, shooting an efficient 15-of-18 from the field. That 83% clip made her just the second player in league history to drop 40 points on 80% shooting or better — a feat first achieved by Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers, who poured in 44 points as a rookie in 2025.

Stewart, meanwhile, hasn’t had a 40-point outing since Sept. 5, 2023, when she was in the middle of an MVP season. Four of her five 40-plus performances came that year.
