The Connecticut Sun have a win total of 11.5 at the BetMGM online sportsbook entering the 2026 WNBA season.

Coming off an 11-win season, the Sun have similar WNBA odds expectations in what could be their final year before moving to Houston.

Connecticut Sun Win Total Prediction

  • Over 11.5 wins

I’m a fan of the over on the Suns’ win total (11.5) for the 2026 WNBA season. They have finished over this win total in all but three seasons in franchise history.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not calling for an unlikely postseason push. But there is enough to get excited about with a young Sun team in a year featuring two new expansion franchises.

Aneesah Morrow and Saniya Rivers impressed as rookies after getting drafted back-to-back at No. 7 and No. 8. Morrow recorded eight double-doubles, while Rivers provided two-way impact on the perimeter.

Leïla Lacan, the No. 10 pick in the 2024 draft, made her WNBA debut last July. She demonstrated elite defensive instincts, averaging 2.2 steals per game to rank second in the WNBA. Lacan also set a rookie record with 14 assists against the Indiana Fever on Aug. 17.

I’m eager to see a full season of this young trio getting extended playing time. The Sun also signed veteran center Brittney Griner, who still averaged more than a block per game in a down season for the Atlanta Dream.

Connecticut has enough potential on the defensive end to be competitive on a regular basis, particularly against the bottom half of the league.

There are enough spacing concerns to keep me from fully buying in, but this appears to be a promising start to their rebuild.

Visit the online sportsbook for WNBA betting opportunities throughout the year. With prop bets, parlays, futures, and more, there’s something for every basketball fan.
