The No. 7 Dallas Wings and No. 2 Golden State Valkyries will clash in a best-of-three Round 1 series in the 2026 WNBA Playoffs. Game 1 will begin at 9 p.m. ET on Sunday at the Chase Center in San Francisco on USA Network.

As of this writing, there aren’t any first-half markets for the WNBA Playoffs. But my Wings vs. Valkyries prediction is to back Golden State in the first half of Game 1 via the spread or team total.
The Valkyries got the most favorable draw in Round 1, earning a matchup against an inexperienced Wings team. Dallas has a rookie head coach and a roster full of people with little to no playoff experience.
Golden State should have no problem advancing, especially given its home-court advantage. That’s why the Valkyries are 7.5-point favorites in Game 1 and -450 to win the series.
As a result, the better value is to find other angles to back the Valkyries. For me, that’s believing in their ability to get off to a fast start.
Golden State was the league’s best first-half team this regular season, posting a +17.3 net rating. No other team had better than a +12.9 net rating in the first half. At home, the Valkyries paced the league with a +21.4 net rating in the first half.
With that in mind, I’m interested in laying the points with the Valkyries’ first-half spread or taking the over on their team total when those markets become available.
