WNBA Title Odds 2026: Liberty on Top

The New York Liberty continue to lead as betting favorites to win the 2026 WNBA championship. Their +200 odds imply a 33.33% chance of capturing the title.

New York opened the market at +450 — the fourth-best odds — but now boasts arguably the league’s most complete roster. Along with retaining Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, and Jonquel Jones, the Liberty added another All-Star-caliber piece in Satou Sabally. Leonie Fiebich and Marine Johannes further strengthen an already deep rotation.

The Liberty are now the third different team to hold favorite status since the market opened last October. The Las Vegas Aces began as +300 favorites before being overtaken by the Minnesota Lynx in December. Minnesota moved from +400 to +250 during that stretch.

Another major shift came in January when Napheesa Collier underwent surgery on both ankles. With a projected recovery timeline of four to six months, the Lynx lost momentum in the market. Meanwhile, the Aces entered free agency as +275 favorites.

The volatility has made for an intriguing market, especially given how consistently these teams have contended in recent seasons. The Liberty entered 2025 as defending champions and preseason favorites after winning the 2024 WNBA Finals, but the Lynx eventually took over as frontrunners during the season.

Ultimately, it was the Aces who claimed the title with a 4-0 sweep of the Phoenix Mercury in the 2025 WNBA Finals to secure their third championship in four years. Their path, however, was anything but typical — they were just 12-13 and listed at +2200 as late as July.

Throughout much of the 2025 season, the Liberty and Lynx were favorites, while Minnesota exited in the semifinals and New York fell in the first round.

Despite significant offseason movement, the market may stabilize at the start of the regular season. The Liberty currently sit as the team to beat, but several contenders remain firmly in the mix.

The Aces bring back their core and carry a proven championship pedigree. The Indiana Fever enter the season with high expectations behind a healthy Caitlin Clark. The Lynx could re-emerge once Collier returns, while the Atlanta Dream are gaining traction after acquiring Angel Reese.

Among the top contenders, Atlanta’s price stands out the most. Still, the 2026 season could once again be building toward a marquee WNBA Finals matchup between the Aces and Liberty.
