WNBA Title Odds 2026: Will Aces’ Dynasty Continue?

The Las Vegas Aces begin as the betting favorites to win the 2026 WNBA championship, as their +300 value gives them an implied probability of 25% to continue their dynasty.

Las Vegas won its third title in four years, earning a 4-0 sweep over the Phoenix Mercury in the 2025 WNBA Finals. Las Vegas started with a +400 price tag to win it all when BetMGM released its championship market.

However, the Aces’ championship run was anything but ordinary. They were 12-13 and trading at +2200 to win the title in late July.ย

The New York Liberty and Minnesota Lynx were the betting favorites for much of the 2025 campaign, but the former lost in Round 1 and the latter fell in the semifinals. There were four different title favorites between the Liberty, Lynx, Mercury, and Aces.

And yet, the 2026 WNBA championship market might feature even more volatility.

For one, it remains unclear if there will be a season or when it will begin. The current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) will expire on Oct. 31, and a new deal must be agreed to before the WNBA can resume.

Assuming a new CBA is in place, there could be a ton of player movement this offseason. Most non-rookie scale players opted to have their contracts expire this winter in hopes of landing a bigger payday in 2026. That means many of the best players are technically unrestricted free agents, including the Aces’ entire core.

As a result, I don’t see any reason to get involved in this market before rosters can even start to take shape. At first glance, I’m intrigued by the 35/1 value on the Golden State Valkyries, who became the first expansion team ever to make the playoffs in their first season.

Natalie Nakase won the WNBA’s Coach of the Year award, guiding a team of role players to a 23-21 record. If the Valkyries can convince a star player to go to San Francisco, this team could quickly become a championship contender.

Golden State, which began as a 125/1 long shot last year, set a high bar for expansion teams. The Portland Fire and Toronto Tempo begin as 200/1 long shots entering their first year as expansion franchises.

Lastly, I wouldnโ€™t be surprised if Minnesota climbs to the top of this board by the start of the season. The Lynx were the best team in basketball for much of the year before Napheesa Collier suffered an injury in Game 3 of the semifinals.

I donโ€™t expect Minnesotaโ€™s core to break up this offseason, given how close this team has been the last two years. The Lynx also own the Chicago Skyโ€™s draft pick as a valuable asset to improve their team. The Lynx are my way-too-early pick to end the Acesโ€™ reign.
