The Golden State Valkyries, the WNBA’s first expansion team since 2008, have had an impressive debut season. And it makes basketball fans eager for more squads to join the league.
Fortunately, WNBA fans won’t have to wait another 17 years. Between the two teams slated to join in 2026 and the three more added by 2030, the league will expand to 18 franchises by the start of the next decade.
