World’s First: BetMGM’s “Court of Legends” Transforms Bellagio into One-of-One Basketball Experience

Two-day event featured a Cavinder Twins faceoff, WNBA legend Sheryl Swoopes as emcee, plus skills challenges, dunk contests, DJ sets and more

Las Vegas (April 7, 2026) – This past weekend, BetMGM unveiled “The Court of Legends” at Bellagio — an immersive basketball event hidden within the resort and brought to life through a custom-built LED court and creator-driven programming. For two days, athlete creators gathered for competitions including a dunk contest, trick-shot challenge, one-on-one matchups and other creator-led showcases.

On Sunday night, social media sensations and college basketball pioneers Haley and Hanna Cavinder took center stage, going head-to-head for the first time in a custom skills competition livestreamed on X, YouTube and the BetMGM app. Hanna Cavinder earned the win over Haley Cavinder, resulting in $2 million in bonus bets awarded to eligible BetMGM players who selected her in the “Pick a Twin to Win” challenge. To recognize the winner, BetMGM made a $10,000 donation to The Just One Project on behalf of the Cavinder Twins. The Las Vegas nonprofit, which focuses on addressing food insecurity in the region, will use the contribution to provide an estimated 5,000 meals to local families.

The weekend’s programming was emceed by WNBA legend Sheryl Swoopes and Mark Shunock, a signature voice in Las Vegas sports and entertainment, with former NBA forward Corey Maggette serving as referee. Entertainment included music from DJ Demi Lobo, an acrobatic performance from Red Panda and viral animatronic sensation Old Ball. The lineup also included dunk specialist Jordan Kilganon and a roster of streetball creators who took part in the on-court competitions.

VIP players and BetMGM “Court of Legends Leaderboard” winners were courtside for the weekend’s events alongside the creators and influencers participating in the competitions.
