  • The 2026 Strasbourg Open is the final WTA 500 event before Roland Garros.
  • The total prize purse for the 2026 Strasbourg Open is more than $1.2 million.

With major 1,000-point tournaments in the rearview mirror and the French Open set to start Monday, this week is a bit of a sandwich spot for the professional tennis tour.

That’s especially true of the women’s tour, which frontloads many of its WTA 1000 events into the first five months of the season. Many players are probably just grateful for a few days off to rest and refine their games ahead of the coming sprint for Roland Garros and Wimbledon.

Thus, many women’s tennis players are taking some well-earned time off this week. But for those who are still grinding, the top tournament option is northeastern France, where Strasbourg serves as the lone WTA 500 event of the week.

Canadian teenager Victoria Mboko is both a wildcard and the No. 1 seed in this 28-player draw. She’s not known for her skill as a clay volleyer, though she’s only played one match on dirt since last year’s French Open, which opens up some tennis betting opportunities for those hunting for attractive WTA underdogs.

In total, the 2026 Strasbourg Open will award €1,049,083, which is roughly $1.2 million.
