Deebo Samuel has looked like a man amongst children so far this season against opposing NFL defenses. Nicknamed after a fearsome character in the movie ‘Friday,‘ Deebo has bullied his way through defensive backs this season, leading the league in yards after catch (YAC) with 464.

He’s coming off another impressive performance on Monday Night Football, where he went off for 97 receiving yards, 36 rushing yards, and two total TDs. So let’s look ahead and see how many receiving yards we can expect from Deebo in Week 11 for NFL betting and prop options.

Samuel Has Proven To Be a Force When Healthy

The doubts about Samuel have never been his talent; it’s just been whether or not he can stay on the football field. After a promising rookie season where the former second-round pick played 15 games, he dropped to only seven last season and mustered just 391 yards and a solo touchdown on the year.

A fully healthy Deebo is a much different story this season. Samuel has played in all nine of the 49ers games and has torn up the league like a wrecking ball. Samuel already has 979 receiving yards (108.8 per game), five TDs, and a ridiculous 18.1 yards per reception.

Deebo by the Numbers This Year

Samuel has been the poster-boy of consistency so far this season, with 50+ receiving yards in each of the 49ers’ first nine games. He’s averaging 115.2 yards from scrimmage per game, which is good for third-best in the NFL and best among wide receivers.

In addition, his 9.4 yards after the catch is tops in the NFL and dwarfs the league average of 4.4. He’s also been a machine on third down this year with seven first-down receptions on third and long, good for second-best among pass catchers. With 979 receiving yards so far this season, Samuel is on pace for a ludicrous 1,850 for the season.

Deebo Samuel vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jags have given up 260.4 passing yards per game this season, ranking them 25th in that category. They’re also giving up almost 26 points per game (27th in the league) and have been a disaster in the red zone against receivers, allowing a league-worst 80% reception rate to receivers.

This bodes well for a monster in the red zone like Deebo Samuel. Jacksonville has been a big-game feeding ground for opposing wide receivers, as they’ve allowed six wideouts to go over the 100-yard mark so far this season. It’s a safe bet to think that Samuel will be the seventh, as he is averaging 108.8 yards receiving on the year to this point.

Will Deebo Samuel Break 100 Yards on Sunday?

Although Samuel has averaged over 100 yards per game so far this season, he has only eclipsed the century mark in four of his nine games up to now. The Jaguars present an excellent opportunity for him to reach the 50% mark with another 100+ game in this one.

A healthy George Kittle has eaten up some of Deebo Samuel’s yards, but there should be plenty to go around against one of the worst defenses in the league. I’m looking for Deebo to dominate on Sunday with 120+ yards and a TD.
