Noche UFC: Silva vs. Delgado: Prediction
My prediction is a TKO/KO win for Silva over Delgado because he’s the more powerful and more aggressive striker. They both prefer the fight to stay standing, and Silva’s forward pressure will force Delgado to fight on the back foot.
Silva thrives when his opponents yield to his forward pressure because he forces them to shell up whenever he throws punches and kicks out of fear of potentially getting knocked out. But this stalls his opponent’s attack and allows Silva to pick them apart.
At this stage of his career, Delgado hasn’t faced the same level of competition as Silva, which is why I think experience will be another advantage for Silva. Lastly, Delgado doesn’t move his head out of the centerline and often drops his hands during exchanges, and Silva could exploit this.
Jean Silva’s Recent Fight Results
Silva earned his UFC contract via Dana White’s Contender Series in 2023. Since then, he has won six of his seven bouts inside the octagon. His wins were against Westin Wilson, Charles Jourdain, Drew Dober, Melsik Baghdasaryan, Bryce Mitchell, and Arnold Allen, while his lone loss was to Diego Lopes.
Jose Miguel Delgado’s Recent Fight Results
Delgado was also a product of Dana White’s Contender Series in 2024. In five fights under the promotion, he scored victories over Conor Matthews, Hyder Amil, Andre Fili, and Austin Bashi, but he dropped his fight to Nathaniel Wood.
