Teofimo Lopez Jr. vs. Shakur Stevenson: Prediction
My prediction is a unanimous decision win for Stevenson over Lopez Jr., as he’s more accurate in his counterpunches and moves his head pretty well when engaging in exchanges. Both are great counterpunchers, but I think Lopez Jr. will initiate the action more.
With Lopez Jr. playing as the aggressor, Stevenson will be more than happy to oblige as the fighter who will be against the ropes, defending and timing counterpunches. This is where the former WBO lightweight titleholder shines.
Furthermore, Stevenson will force Lopez Jr. to close the distance and fight on the inside. This removes the advantage of Lopez Jr. in sniping his punches from long distance and will make the life of Stevenson easier to fire back easily.
