Coming off back-to-back World Series titles, the Los Angeles Dodgers are widely considered the best team in baseball.

In addition to being World Series favorites for a potential three-peat, the Dodgers are the betting favorites to win the most regular-season games during the 2026 MLB season. The problem is, the Dodgers haven’t been much of a regular-season team of late.

But does that mean there is value on other teams in the latest MLB best record odds market?

Which MLB Team Will Record the Most Wins in 2026?

According to the latest MLB odds, the Dodgers are considerable favorites to post the best regular-season record in 2026. At -175, they have an implied probability of 63.64%.

The Dodgers certainly have the best roster in the sport after landing outfielder Kyle Tucker and closer Edwin Diaz in free agency. It helped shore up potential weaknesses for the back-to-back champs.

That said, Los Angeles hasn’t seemed as motivated to win a lot of regular-season games in recent years. To peak at the right time, the Dodgers aren’t afraid to be more careful with injured players.

For example, Blake Snell won’t start the season in the rotation due to fatigue, and the Dodgers are content with a slower ramp-up to have him at his best in October.

Because of this approach, Los Angeles hasn’t won more than 98 regular-season games in the last two years. The Dodgers have posted the best record in MLB just twice over the past five campaigns.

In 2025, the Milwaukee Brewers finished with the most regular-season wins at 97-65. They had +6600 odds to do so in this market last preseason, while the Dodgers began as -325 favorites. The next closest team in this market last year was the Atlanta Braves at +700.

I don’t know if this market will produce another long shot like the Brewers, but there could be value in fading the Dodgers again. No other team is listed better than 12/1, so there is an opportunity to build a portfolio with multiple contenders.

In my opinion, it’s best to target the favorites in a weaker division. As the Brewers proved last year, that can be an effective way to accumulate many victories.

As a result, the Seattle Mariners’ +1600 price tag immediately stands out. PECOTA projects Seattle to post the best record in the American League at 93.6-68.4, which is nearly 10 games more than the rest of the AL West. They could have an easier time than anyone in the AL East, as that division has all five teams projected to go above .500.

Along those lines, the Chicago Cubs (+1800) could follow a similar path to last year’s Brewers. PECOTA projects 89.7 wins for the Cubs, which would be the second-best record in the National League. If the Brewers take a step back, the Cubs could win the NL Central by a solid margin.

If you really want to be bold, the AL Central projects as the worst division in the sport. The Detroit Tigers are the betting favorites after adding Framber Valdez to the rotation. The Tigers are also +2500 to record the most wins in MLB.

However, PECOTA (and I) actually expect the Kansas City Royals to win the division. Could the Royals be worth a sprinkle at +10000 in this market after seeing what the Brewers did last year?

This market could be worth monitoring throughout the season.
