The 2026 World Baseball Classic is just around the corner, with pool play set to begin on March 5.

All 30 Major League Baseball teams will be represented on the global stage, as each franchise has multiple players slated to compete in this year’s event.

The New York Mets lead the way with the most players in the 2026 World Baseball Classic. They are sending 17 to the WBC, though that total could increase to 18 with Joe Jacques (Italy) listed in the designated pitcher pool. The DPP is a reserve of up to six pitchers per federation that can be called up after the first round.

The Seattle Mariners have 16 WBC players this year, but could end up with 18 if pitchers Luis Castillo (Dominican Republic) and Jhonathan Díaz (Venezuela) are called up from the DPP.
