The Colorado Rockies have a win total of 52.5 listed in the 2026 MLB win totals market at the BetMGM online sportsbook.

The Rockies’ win total of 52.5 is the lowest over/under of any team in the league, trailing the next-closest squad by 14 victories. Colorado finished with an MLB-worst 43 wins last year.

Rockies Over/Under Wins 2026

  • Over 52.5 wins: -110
  • Under 52.5 wins: -110

Rockets Win Total Prediction 2026

  • Over 52.5 wins

It might seem crazy, but I like the over on the Rockies’ win total based on their latest MLB betting odds.

In some ways, it’s a similar case to why I like the under on the Dodgers’ win total of 103.5. When a team is that far away from the pack, there is a natural path to some regression.

For Colorado, there is likely to be some positive regression in 2026.

The Rockies have lost 100-plus games in three straight seasons, but they’ve never had a year as bad as they did in 2025. The only other time in franchise history that Colorado failed to win 53 games was in 2020, when the season was shortened to 60 games.

One obvious way the Rockies can earn a few more wins in 2026 is by being better at home. They went 25-56 for an MLB-worst 30.9% win rate in Coors Field last year. The altitude adjustment has typically given the Rockies a bigger bump than that, as they have won 52.1% of their home games since 2007.

In addition, the Rockies have finally opted to switch things up. They hired Paul DePodesta to be the president of baseball operations, marking his return after 10 years away from the sport. The Rockies are hoping a fresh new voice can inspire some much-needed change.

To be honest, it’s difficult to make the case for backing the worst team in baseball. But my main theory is that the market generally overrates how bad a team can be across multiple seasons.

For the past two years, the team with the lowest win total in the majors has cleared its preseason over/under:

  • 2025: White Sox, 54.5 win total (60 wins)
  • 2024: Athletics, 57.5 win total (69 wins)

Don’t be surprised if the Rockies follow this recent trend, clearing a low win total of 52.5.
