Jalen Rose was one of the best scorers in the 2000 playoffs.

Rose, an ambassador for the BetMGM online sportsbook which offers basketball betting odds, tallied several statistics that stand out in the lore of the NBA. Among them, he tallied 479 points during that 2000 postseason.

That ties him for 84th all-time in the NBA, equal to performances by Jerry West, Rick Barry, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Manu Ginobili.

Here are a few of Rose’s other remarkable numbers.

Jalen Rose’s Eight Straight Seasons With Double-Digit Points

From the 1998-99 season to the 2005-06 seasons, Rose averaged double-figure points. This number speaks to his consistency for the totality of his career.

As early as 23 years old, the former Michigan star reached 10 points per game for a season. Rose is 208th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list with 13,220 points and is 232nd with 4,852 shots made.

During these eight consecutive seasons, he played for four different teams, proving he was a dependable contributor no matter who he played for

Jalen Rose Plays Nearly 1,000 Career Games

Here is another number speaking to Rose’s stable presence.

He is 209th all-time with 27,925 minutes played. He’s tied for 224th with 923 regular-season games played. That’s an average of 71 games over 13 seasons.

Rose started 572 regular-season games, and he played 59 contests in the playoffs with 30 starts. That’s a total of 982 games played and 602 starts.

In 2000-01, when he won the Most Improved Player Award, Rose was 173rd all-time with 40.88 minutes played per game. In 2002-03, he was tied for 174th with 40.87.

Jalen Rose Records Career-Best Assist and Shooting Numbers Early

In the wake of his college career, Rose began his time as a pro on a high note.

With the Denver Nuggets, Rose earned all All-Rookie recognition during the 1994-95 season. The following year, he played the best of his career in some areas.

He averaged 6.2 assists per game and made 48% of his shots, both career bests. As he became more of a focal point on offense and took more shots, those numbers weren’t quite the same. But his ability to shoot at a high clip and set others up for success illustrated how intelligent he was right away.

Jalen Rose Succeeds Immediately With the Chicago Bulls

When he was traded to the Chicago Bulls during the 2001-02 season, Rose’s offensive production took another step forward.

In the 30 games he played during that season for them, he averaged 23.8 points per game, which would be first if compared to his other complete seasons.

But the next year takes that honor. As a small forward, he tallied 22.1 points per game in 2002-03. No matter where he played, he quickly adapted to his new environments and continued to benefit his new teams.
