One year after Super Bowl LVI averaged 112.3 million viewers (and peaked at 208 million), the Kansas City Chiefs’ win over the Philadelphia Eagles (which peaked at 183 million) narrowly topped it. Super Bowl LVII was also the most-streamed Super Bowl ever with seven million streams.
Most Watched Super Bowls
Super Bowl XLIX is the most-watched Super Bowl of all time (by average viewers). The New England Patriots’ win over the Seattle Seahawks had 114 million average viewers.
Super Bowl XLVIII – between the Denver Broncos and Seahawks – is the third-most watched Super Bowl with 112 million average viewers.
Super Bowl LVII between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles was expected to average more than 115 million viewers, Fox announced in projections prior to the game. The Chiefs came back from 10 points down at halftime to beat the Eagles and give Patrick Mahomes his second Super Bowl win.
Super Bowl Halftime Show TV Ratings
Rihanna’s halftime show averaged 118.7 million viewers, making it the second-most watch halftime show ever. Katy Perry’s show at Super Bowl XLIX still owns the record at 121 million.
