The vacant UFC light heavyweight title is on this Saturday, as former champion Jiří Procházka takes on the streaking contender Carlos Ulberg in the main event of UFC 327 inside Kaseya Center in Miami.

With his credentials as the former titleholder, Procházka heads into the match as the betting favorite with -115 UFC odds, while Ulberg, who’s on a nine-fight win streak, is going to be the -115 betting underdog.

UFC 327: Procházka vs. Ulberg: Prediction

I predict a TKO/KO victory for Procházka over Ulberg because of his very unconventional fighting style and the constant pressure he applies to his opponents. My only concern for him is his wide stance, as Ulberg can attack his lead leg with powerful leg kicks.

Procházka also takes the fight to his opponents, turning it into a messy exchange on the feet. Even though Ulberg is a very calculated and disciplined fighter, I think he’ll be forced to fight at Procházka’s pace to avoid getting starched and give him a better chance to land a clean shot.

Lastly, Procházka’s experience fighting other elite contenders in the weight class will come in handy. He has fought three world title fights, whereas Ulberg hasn’t faced the same level of competition and has been under the radar for years.

Jiri Procházka’s Recent Fight Results

Procházka was the former UFC light heavyweight king. In his last five fights, he scored victories over Aleksandar Rakic, Jamahal Hill, and Khalil Rountree Jr. and lost his two title fights against Alex Pereira.

Carlos Ulberg’s Recent Fight Results

Ulberg is a product of Dana White’s Contender Series in 2020. He’s currently on a nine-fight win streak dating back to February 2022, and his last five victories were against Da Woon Jung, Alonzo Menifield, Volkan Oezdemir, Jan Blachowicz, and Dominick Reyes.
