For the first time in its history, the UFC will have an event in Serbia on Saturday, as ranked welterweight contenders Uros Medic and Daniel Rodriguez headline the UFC Belgrade card inside the Belgrade Arena.
Both are currently on a three-fight winning streak, but as the younger fighter with a 100% finish rate, Medic heads into the match as the betting favorite with -400 UFC odds. Meanwhile, Rodriguez is going to be the +310 betting underdog.

- Daniel Rodriguez: +310

UFC Belgrade: Medic vs. Rodriguez: Prediction
My prediction is a TKO/KO win for Medic over Rodriguez, mainly because of his speed advantage. Both fighters can put their opponents out with a single punch, but the quickness of Medic will allow him to land first in their exchange.
Additionally, Medic has a piercing front body kick that lets him deal damage from a safe distance and makes opponents drop their guard to defend against it. Once his opponents drop their hands, he fires his punch combinations until he lands a clean shot.
Another major factor in this bout is age, with Rodriguez approaching his 40th birthday later this year and well past his prime. Meanwhile, Medic is only 33 and still at the peak of his physical prime.
Uros Medic’s Recent Fight Results
Medic entered the UFC through Dana White’s Contender Series in August 2020. In his last five bouts in the promotion, he racked up four wins against Tim Means, Gilbert Urbina, Muslim Salikhov, and Geoff Neal, while his loss was courtesy of Punahele Soriano.
Daniel Rodriguez’s Recent Fight Results
Rodriguez was also a product of Dana White’s Contender Series in 2019. But he has only won three of his last five fights, with wins over Alex Morono, Santiago Ponzinibbio, and Kevin Holland, and his losses were to Ian Machado Garry and Kelvin Gastelum.
