  • The womenโ€™s flyweight match between Manon Fiorot and Jasmine Jasudavicius will be part of the UFC Vancouver main card on Oct. 18.
  • Fiorot is the -265 betting favorite.
  • Jasudavicius is the +210 betting underdog.

The showdown of ranked UFC womenโ€™s flyweight contenders Manon Fiorot and Jasmine Jasudavicius will be part of the UFC Vancouver main card on Oct. 18 inside Rogers Arena in Canada.

Even though sheโ€™s coming off a defeat in her previous outing, Fiorot remains the betting favorite with -265 UFC odds. Her experience of fighting for the title and a better pro record are the primary reasons for her favorable odds.ย

Meanwhile, Jasudavicius, whoโ€™s on a five-fight win streak, is the +210 betting underdog.

  • Manon Fiorot: -265
  • Jasmine Jasudavicius: +210ย

UFC Vancouver: Fiorot vs. Jasudavicius: Prediction

I predict a unanimous decision win for Fiorot against Jasudavicius because sheโ€™s the more refined striker and has decent takedown defense that can combat the grappling and submission threats of the Canadian contender.

Fiorot may have lost her previous fight, but it was against the golden standard of the weight class, and she managed to survive five rounds against Valentina Shevchenko. This was a great morale boost for her going forward, knowing she can stand her ground against one of the best fighters of all time.

Jasudavicius is a great grappler in her own right and has shown she can submit some of the most vicious strikers in the division, but Fiorot is a different beast with an impressive 61% takedown defense, which I think will be enough.

Fiorot has also proved she can defend takedowns against an elite grappler, as seen in her match against Erin Blanchfield. She stopped all of Blanchfieldโ€™s takedown attempts to keep the fight standing and force her to fight in her territory.

Manon Fiorotโ€™s Recent Fight Results

Fiorot was the former UAE Warriors champion before she signed with the UFC in 2020. She made her octagon debut against Victoria Leonardo and defeated her via second-round finish. Since then, the French MMA star swept her next six fights.

During this stretch, Fiorot defeated Tabatha Ricci, Mayra Bueno Silva, Jennifer Maia, Katlyn Cerminara, Rose Namajunas, and Blanchfield. This streak earned her a shot at UFC gold. However, Valentina Shevchenko handed her a unanimous decision loss last May at UFC 315 in their championship battle.

Jasmine Jasudaviciusโ€™ Recent Fight Results

Jasudaviciusโ€™ route to the UFC was through Dana Whiteโ€™s Contender Series in 2021. She unanimously beat Julia Polastri to crack a roster spot. In January 2023, she had a dream promotional debut with a decision win against Kay Hansen.

Following that victory, Jasudavicius won seven of her next nine bouts. Several of her most notable wins were against Miranda Maverick, Priscila Cachoeira, Bueno Silva, and, most recently, Jessica Andrade.
