UFC Vegas 116: Norma Dumont vs. Joselyne Edwards: Prediction
With the better grappling on her side, my prediction is a unanimous decision victory for Edwards over Dumont, as she can neutralize the striking and power of Dumont. Edwards also has an underrated striking, which she can use to bait Dumont and set up a perfect level-change.
Dumont has struggled to defend takedowns, as seen in her previous bout, where she was taken down twice and nearly submitted. Additionally, her stiff stance will make her vulnerable to counters and solid jabs from Edwards.
If Edwards successfully lures Dumont to extended striking exchanges before shooting for a takedown, I think she’ll be able to control her for the majority of the fight. I wouldn’t be surprised if Edwards pulls off a submission victory as well.
