Former UFC women’s bantamweight title challenger Yana Santos returns to action at UFC Vegas 123 on Saturday, as she’s scheduled to meet Luana Santos at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.

Both are riding a three-fight win streak, but Yana is going to be the betting underdog with +240 UFC odds, likely because of her over a year-long hiatus. Meanwhile, Luana will be the -300 betting favorite.

UFC Vegas 123: Yana Santos vs. Luana Santos: Prediction

With the solid judo background of Luana, I think she’ll get the job done against Yana via unanimous decision. Luana is expected to grind out Yana with her grappling skills and take the fight to the ground.

Luana likes to close the distance early because that is when he time a perfect level change. She does a great job luring opponents into throwing striking combinations before going for a takedown.

Yana is also coming off a long layoff due to injury, which is why I believe that Luana will go straight at her. I also expect Luana to threaten multiple submission techniques, but Yana’s experience and grit will help her survive.

Yana Santos’ Recent Fight Results

Yana was a former Invicta FC and former UFC title challenger who made her promotional debut in 2018. She won three of her last five fights, beating Chelsea Chandler, Miesha Tate, and Macy Chiasson, but losing to Holly Holm and Karol Rosa.

Luana Santos’ Recent Fight Results

The UFC signed Luana in 2023. Since then, she has competed in seven UFC fights. She won six of the seven by beating Juliana Miller, Stephanie Egger, Mariya Agapova, Tainara Lisboa, Melissa Croden, and Rosa, while losing to Casey O’Neill.
