Novak Djokovic odds are one of the most common tennis betting targets at the online sportsbook.
That’s especially true for those who are new to betting on the sport. (And if that’s you, make sure you check out my comprehensive tennis betting guide.)
In order to provide some basic, foundational research, I’ve researched how Djokovic compares to some of the other top players on the ATP tour.
Here’s how Djokovic stacks up against Daniil Medvedev.
Djokovic vs. Medvedev: Head-to-Head Record
Novak Djokovic has a 9-5 head-to-head record advantage over Daniil Medvedev, with all 14 matches played in or after 2017. Only two matches were played on a surface other than hardcourt.
Djokovic vs. Medvedev: Last Meeting
In their most recent meeting, Daniil Medvedev beat Novak Djokovic, 6-4, 6-4, in the 2023 Dubai semifinal.
Perhaps the pair’s most famous match was the 2021 U.S. Open championship match, where Novak Djokovic could have completed the ultra-rare calendar slam. Instead, Medvedev coasted to a straight-sets win, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4.
Djokovic vs. Medvedev: Odds for Grand Slam Tournaments
Novak Djokovic is the favorite to win three of the four next grand slam tournaments, so it’s hard to compare anyone’s odds to his in favorable terms.
As far as the tennis betting market is concerned, Medvedev stands his best shot to win a slam at the 2023 U.S. Open, where he is currently third in the table at +400. Djokovic is currently an odds-on favorite at -110.
